Shuttle PC Upgrades

I have this old Shuttle SD32G2B, its a c2d 2.0 something.. are there any motherboard that I fit in there ? or do they make a newer board that i can plug in a i3 or i5, etc or amd,

its not a standard itx type right ?

IIRC the shuttle boards were proprietary and approximately line up with DTX boards. You might be able to get away with installing a newer Shuttle board but good luck finding one without a case.

You're better off just spending the $100-120 on a decent ITX case/power supply.

The COOLER MASTER Elite 120 is pretty much your only option if you want to move your full sized CD drive and GPU over.

You could always turn it into an awesome NAS/router/ftp server

The newer Shuttle boxes are ITX form factor compatible now. The older ones, like yours, is not unfortunately.

It's good to hear they're using standard hardware now. I just threw out my Shuttle Athlon XP case the other month. :biggrin:

I have a lot of systems, sending one to recycling is easier, especially if its that old
