Hello everyone,
new to the forums here and have just bought an Intel SFF from Shuttle their new G5's. However something is starting to concern me. The 250 Watts of power seems very meager unless I'm misunderstanding something. PSU has never been my thing and I fail to understand if the actual number of watts actually determines if its enough power...
Now I bought an eVGA Nvidia 6800 and an Audigy 2 ZS Gamer PCI. I think both require power from the PSU through the molex connecter (i think thats right). I also have 1 gig of Corsair 2700LL (low latency) twin x ram and a 36 gig Western Digital Raptor 10,000 RPM's.
Will I have problems with the power in this SFF? Apparently this is Shuttles best PSU and quietest. They are using this PSU in their world cyber games 2004 computers which have Geforce 6600's and Audigy 2 ZS's equipped and Intel Pentium 4 3.4Ghz 550 Prescott processors.
Can anyone care to explain how this is possible with a 250 Watt PSU? I use to use a 250 in the old days. Any help would be appreciated. This PSU thing has got me sweating making me think i made a big mistake buying an SFF.
