I can't believe anyone would find these noisy. I can barely hear mine. At startup the DVD drive winds up and makes noise, but stops immediately. The cooling fans themselves are WAY quieter than a normal computer box. At least way quieter than any of my computers I have built. My 1700 overclocked runs at 37 c. Not hot at all.

I was doing searching for prices on this thing and found it at Knowledge Micro for $205 + shipping, but then a minute later
I ended up on the bizrate price comparison page where it showed up as $198.56 with free shipping. Strange... so I clicked
on the link and sure enough - go to Knowlegde Micro via this link that redirects through bizrate:

Strange, but when you browse to it from the knowledgemicro home page, the rebate does show up. Through the Bizrate link, it doesn't. Hmmm...

Oh, and by the way...I just checked the Shuttle website, and knowledgemicro is one of their authorized dealers, so the rebate should be good. Something else worth noting is that unlike the rebate form from last month, the current one has no list of dealers from whom you have to buy to get the rebate.
