I have to share my SK41G experience. I bought one to build my wife a new SSF PC for our bedroom. It is fairly quiet, and the size is nice, but I wish they would redesign the case to support two 5.25 drive bays, instead of one 5.25 & one 3.5. Hardly anybody will want a floppy in it anyway, and if they did, they could always get a 5.25-to-3.5 adapter plate.
Now for the system I built. To save money, I reused the Athlon XP 1800+ and DDR RAM I had in my current system. For the initial setup, I used the builtin VGA card, and 6 channel sound. My CDRW rounded out the package. The builtin video; sucks for anything game-ish. The 3DMark2001 scores were sad, very sad.
I installed my GF3 Ti200 to hold me over till my AIW 9700 Pro arrived. 3Dmark 2001 scores with in the mid 6000s, and I was satisfied with that. It played every game I threw at it, but occasionally rebooted in the middle of a game. The internal CPU/Case temps were VERY reasonable. Under load (i.e.: multiple 3DMark runs) it was about 49/54.
I removed the GF3 and installed my AIW 9700 Pro, and all the associated software, two weeks ago. Since then, I've had 0, I mean ZERO crashes/reboots/unexplained errors. That's right! ATI finally got their $h!t together, and released a driver/software set that ROCKS! EVERY feature on the MMC package works as advertised, and and the non overclocked Athlon XP / AIW 9700 Pro turn a respectable 11000 3D marks in 3DMark 2001.
Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with the system, and I'm planning to build one for myself now. I just need to find somebody to buy my old stuff
I would give the SK41G a 8.5 out of 10 score
Pros:
Size, appearance, 6 channel audio, usb2 10/100 lan
Cons:
Needs two 5.25 bays, and zero 3.5 bays
