Shuttle SN45G won't boot

My SN45g (Mobo labeled FN45 V2.0) stopped booting the other day.

When I power up the machine, the fan goes to max speed and stays there. The there is no VGA output and the BIOS does not load.

So far I have tried resetting the BIOS with the jumper cable (from pos. 1,2 -> 2,3), holding the Insert key during boot up and removing the CMOS Battery. None of these made the machine bootable I have tested a different video card and memory.

I am fairly certain that the components are in order as the BIOS doesn't seem to be loading and I have removed and replaced them one by one.

Has anyone else had this problem with this system? Did anyone find a solution other than RMA?

So I'm not the only one who's having this problem today.

Before your computer died, did you have your RAM voltage set to 2.7v? If you did, you probably fried your board (that's what I did). There a known issue with these boards where if you set the RAM voltage to 2.7v the board will kill itself if the CMOS is reset (which can happen if your system overheats, whatever).

When this happened to me the first time, I still had warranty so I RMA'd it and they replaced the voltage regulator on the board (RT9202, located at U28 (by the second fan header).

I've been trying to find this chip today and I haven't had any luck. If you still have warranty left, that's probably the safest bet. Then again, if this isn't what happened to your board, then you may be in luck?
