If anyone has an SS40G, could you answer these questions for me?
I'm thinking of buying one of these for HTPC use on a regular interlaced TV, as well as a portable box for playing old DOS games. In both those quests, the built-in SiS video is my biggest concern.
Does anyone know if the SiS315 video supports VESA VBE 2.0 in the Video bios? That's needed for DOS games. How does it look/perform with the likes of Doom or earlier?
How is the quality of the S-video (SiS301 bridge chip) out on a TV. Any comparisons to the TV-out functions of nVidia, ATI or Matrox cards are welcome.
Thank you,
Robert
