Shuttle SZ77R5 i7 2600K overclocking

According to this Shuttle SZ77R5 Review - Overclocking, the 2600K could be overclocked to 4.8GHz; but mine would only overclock to ~3.6GHz at full load (ex: running Prime95 torture test 8 threads). Temps were 60C max. My settings were as follow:

CPU Max Frequency Ratio: 48
CPU Voltage (1/256): 0
Power Limit 1 value (1/8 Watt): 800
Power Limit 2 value (1/8 Watt): 1000
CPU Core Voltage Setting: +100mV
The rests: Auto

BIOS version SZ77R000.112 (newest).

I also use the Asetek 545LC closed loop liquid cooler.
Does anyone have experience on this?

The Asetek 545 LC unit is superior to the Shuttle's ICE unit. I've seen threads proving that so I know that much is true. Overclocking will be highly dependent on the cpu and the mobo. Mainly the mobo's bios IIRC. Heat/cooling is also a major problem with the SZ77R5 but with the Asetek set up it shouldn't be too bad. Its been a while but if you go over to HF and do a search in their SFF section you should find the threads that speaks about how best to overclock that unit.

Read through all the threads about the SZ77R5. He wasn't the only one to buy one or overclock one. You can ask others for info as well via pm on HF. I'm guessing its a bios problem since that is the Shuttle's weakest link from everything I have heard about that particular model. They are not as easy to work with as other brands. It's also possible you got a bad cpu as far as overclocking goes. Less chance of that but still a possibility. Also you could contact Shuttle and see if they can help you. Worth a shot anyway.
