Shuttle SZ77R5 Review

Finally got my hands on the latest Shuttle to review last week and have just published my review.

The SZ77R5 is the third machine using the R5 chassis and this one is reviewed using the 3770K Ivy bridge and 2600K Sandy bridge.

Proprietary boards and PSUs make Shuttles a hard sale when there are so many ITX options that offer basically everything a Shuttle does, and often at a lower cost.

Yeah, but at least now Shuttle R5 units are itx compatible so later on you can swap any standard itx mobo inside it. Also the mobo Shuttle uses has four dimm slots whereas most other manufacturers are only giving two. There are pros and cons with a Shuttle but they have made some major improvements last couple of years. Their Bios still has a lot to be desired for instance on the con side.
