Shuttle's Cube Cases...what's the difference?

Over in Hot Deals, someone mentioned that Newegg has a refurbished Shuttle SS51G for $219. I was all set to buy, but then I noticed that there are new models, specifically the SB51G, SK41G, and SS40G. I'm assuming these are newer models, but from the descriptions they look to be the same as the SS51G. Shuttle's site is down, so I can't check it out there. Does anyone know what (if anything) is different about these models? I am looking to build a media/PVR machine, so would the SS51G still be a good choice given these other models? Thanks.

SS40G is an AMD machine and has no AGP.
The other 3 are P4 machines with different chipsets (SIS, VIA, INTEL) and do have AGP.

Thanks for the info...is there any advantage to one chipset over the other? I mean, does the Intel one really perform that much better? Damn, I wish their site wasn't down the one day when I need info.

There is a company called Checker that makes Cube cases for the Mini-ITX form factor:

I think this is more for the Mini-ITX Eden motherboards. I dont know if they fit anything any larger.

SS51G is based on an sis chipset 648 i believe.

SB51G is based on the intel 845GE chipset.

If the "1" in the last digit of the model number indicates AGP, then the SN40 will be a BIG disappointment. Let's hope they put out a SN41 simultaneously with the SN40. Otherwise, I can't see anyone buying it.

By the way, Newegg itself has pictures and specs on almost all of the items that they carry.

You might also want to visit www.viahardware.com before making a decision, they have a SFF (small form factor) forum chock-full of posts about all the Shuttle models.

Yeah, my SS51G would be virtually silent if it wasn't for the buzzsaw fan on my Geforce3 card
