ive sure met many friendly and polite americans. it probably outweights the unfriendly by alot but i at least three to four unpolite, rude americans each day and it pisses me off when they come to CANADA..my country and start talking trash about it. how taxes suck, how our money is terrible, how everything is expensive this and that. either keep your comments to yourself or dont come here at all!

i would never or i doubt any other canadian go to the US and say "can i pay for this shirt with 'real money' (talking canadian money)"i betcha 100 bucks the cashier would look at you strange and not only that but think your a retard. only an american will say this crap and i hear time and time again.

Canada is a beautiful country with wonderful people, and so is the US. You need to change jobs. Of course a tourist who has no class will say something dumb like what comes into your store, but that is a part of the job. Idiots are everywhere, and know no boundries. If you don't change jobs, take stress pills or something. And when you visit the US, go a bit further than New York. Buffalo and Detroit are old industrial cities. You have them too. I used to drive an 18 wheeler up there bringing you fresh produce. Believe me, you got some hell holes up there and some blooming idiots too. It's just human nature.

When it gets cold up there next winter, come to the Southwest, like Phoenix, or go to San Diego. That beats the hell out of the harsh winters of Toronto and Montreal.

I will agree with your original post that a lot of Americans make annoying tourists...

However, this post is delusional at best. First I must say that the US and Canada are the strongest of allies (we share the worlds longest unprotected border) so this is completely hypothetical... that said, IF the US ever decided to invade Canada the Canadian military would be crushed very swiftly. And the UN? Errrrr... who do you think the military might behind the UN is? Right now even a unified Europe's military strength pales in comparison to the US... in fact there is a lot of concern in the EU about this very issue.

And as for your unarmed population attempting to create a milita, well let's just say the prices of things would be American Dollars in no time. And don't count on us keeping the taxes low for you.

In the interm you should check out games like "Fallout" and movies like "Canadian Bacon". Not saying that we're going to send in only small bands of lower-middle class nobodies to take you over, or that we intend to execute you in the streets for newsmen, but just be happy that we "yanks" aren't sick and tired of you because Canada exists on our generosity...

i have changed jobs and this was one of the factors, not the only factor but one of the factors.
i have been down to myrtle beach years ago, and had a great time, i know its really nice down south i wish i could get out there more often but what i see mostly is detroit and buffalo so you should see what im coming from.
i know canada has hell holes....hamilton is one of them.

we cut your electricty, your resources, its not that easy of a fight. US depends on Canada on many resouces and especially electricty. canada sells so much electricty to us its not even funny..if you think you just mush over canada like nothing you are clearly wrong. with the help of UN, and an notice of an upcoming war, i will guantee you canada will muster an army 15x the size of what it has now. when you have 10+ countires on war with 1 country...the odds are on the 10+ countries winning. and the reason we dont have a large army because we DONT need one. why should we have a huge army at this present time and waste money maintaining it if it is never used.
