This won't be bad, would have to look into it. The main issue is user awareness on ebay. All they know is Paypal and Bilpoint. Yahoo should advertise this more IMO.

Paypal used to be free, but they've been steadily increasing/adding fees and usage limits. Paydirect has a daily or weekly $$ amount limit, I believe, but no transaction fees.

paypal is free only if you receive less than $100/month, anything more than that, requires you to have a premium account, which is not free anymore...

This has been around for a while.

Even though it's free they are the slowest to transfer funds. It took me over 2 weeks to transfer from paydirect to my checking account.

Please contact the recipient directly, or use other legal remedies that may be available to you if you cannot resolve your dispute informally. Please also note that transactions used to fund your PayDirect account are separate from any payment transactions made via PayDirect. You may not dispute or charge back a transaction used to fund your PayDirect account on the basis of any dispute with a recipient over an amount owed; the quantity, quality, or safety of goods or services purchased; whether or not goods or services have been shipped, received, or performed; or any other aspect of your relationship with a recipient. There is one issue that I keep running into with PayDirect...I sell a fair amount of stuff through EBAY, and every time someone signs up with PayDirect to pay me, they always complain about the same thing: the $200 send limit in place for new members. Other than that, PayDirect is OK.

Not exactly...$100.00 per month is the receiving fee for payments initiated WITH A CREDIT CARD...no such limitation for payments received by ELECTRONIC CHECK or from PRE-FUNDED accounts.

Isn't it only if you go above $100/month on credit cards? If it's just regular transfer can it be more than $100/month without fees?

Ah, cheap skates complaining about PayPal fees again. Like I keep saying, go get yourself a merchant account and lease the equipment. Then you'll see just how good of a deal PayPal really is. PayDirect offers zero fraud protection, is slower than snot moving funds, and just doesn't "work" like PayPal.

Pabster, you da man! I agree totally. PayPal is very usefull when you know it's limitations and work within or around them. Paydirect causes headaches when trying to do speedy transactions, which is a major concern of most everyone using Ebay. We just gotta have it NOW, you know?!

Pabster, when transfering funds to a credit card, PayDirect is about as fast as any merchant -- it takes a day or two to have the funds transfered to your credit card. That's the best thing about PayDirect -- zero fees for credit card use. On the other hand, when I sent some PayPal funds to a friend a last week, it took PayPal six days to sent him an email that he had money, and I have never waited less than four days for my PayPal funds to appear in my bank account -- as far as speed is concerned, I'm not sure PayDirect is worse than PayPal. While there is no fraud protection, frivolous chargebacks are harder to do and that's usually where most sellers get hit. If you are a seller, the separation of funding the account and paying from the account appears to leave Yahoo responsible for fraudulent credit card use. If you're a buyer though, it may get tough. And judging from many posts here, PayPal's fraud protection is worth about as much as my Flooz dollars .

PayPal is a bad deal from the RECEIVER'S point of view...let'see: on my last $545.00 transaction Friday, I could have accepted PayPal and thrown away $16.15 into the PayPal sh**hole...or accept that same $545.00 through c2it.com and pay absolutely NOTHING for receiving it. Needless to say, the transaction was done through c2it...the purchaser thanked me for introducing him to the service. Just think how many color printers I can now buy with the $16 I saved

I accept payments through almost all of the services, and PayPal and BillPoint are the 2 LEAST desirable from my standpoint as a recipient. In many cases, the 'time' factor noted by some above really does not come into play (for me anyway) - all I care about is that the service CLEARS the payment TO me (in my account with the SERVICE) in a timely manner...if it takes an extra 1-2 days to get funds into my BANK account, it really isn't that big a deal.

I was ripped off by an auction merchant accepting credit cards at PayPal, and they did NOTHING to help me.

Why give 2 - 3% to PayPal to accept funds, when PayDirect does it for free?

This is not new I have used them for some time. One problem though is that they do not send a shipping address with the payment. Every time I accept payment through them I have to email the customer and ask for their address. I looked all over it was not in the email or on the detail pages for those transactions. If I am missing this could somebody tell me where the addresses would be.
