As a web developer I found this equal parts hysterical and silly. At this point JavaScript is a basic building block of the Web - any site that wants to function in a more dynamic fashion than requiring you to load a new page for every different little form you need is going to require it.
But by all means, continue to enjoy the 1990s Web while the rest of us move forward. You won't be missed.
Sites today are terrible for using JS "just because" though. JS is useful to add interactivity to something such as a web app, but a site should not require it just to view text and images. There is zero reason for that.
