The nForce2 motherboards are very sensitive regarding memory, and although many people do recommend generic memory (which can be a bit of a lottery; sometimes you may get some wonderful WinBond chips, which will overclock nicely, other times you may get some crap that barely works at stock speed) the nForce2 boards will hate you forever or using it
Also, some Corsair memory has some serious problems wiht the board, as you have read from the replies above. If you do have any problems withit, I personally recommend Samsung Original, as I'm running Samsung Original PC2700 with 4-2-2-2T timings on my A7N8X Deluxe with no stability problems whatsoever in sync with my processor for best performance. Unfortunately my 2200+ is still locked, so it's only running at 266Mhz at the moment
I'm avoiding physically tampering with my processor, because there's meant to be a new BIOS revision coming out soon that'll unlock it for me. Or at least that's the one that Anandtech were using. If anyone there would have the heart to extract it from the board and send it to me, I might be willing to trade my soul in for it
