I just went through the most ridiculous drama over this. I made a topic in techpowerup about getting screwed over by these guys. they state 3-4 business days shipping. I paid 9.00 US for shipping. Then they don't even ship the thing for 2 more days after I ordered it.
I ordered it on a Monday and they shipped it Wednesday. So I wouldn't of even gotten the thing until at least next Monday. What kind of shipping is that? Screw you shipping? 10 days for 9.00 US?

So I email the guy and I tell him if you guys are really that slow I won't be using you again. Why would I?
I paid 9 freaking dollars for shipping and it takes 9-10 days to arrive?
I get an email about them being out of the office on apr 17th, it's april 26th, who cares about apr 17th?
Anyway the guy straight up cancels my order because he didn't like my response.
Literally cancels my order.
It had already been charged to my visa and was in shipping and he cancels it without my consent or without me asking him to.
So is that the kind of person you want to do business with?
A guy who will cancel your order if you email him about how slow their mailing process is?

To top it off he comes into techpowerup, they unlock the closed topic for him and he lies in it, stating some nonsense about my billing info being wrong, making more excuses.
First off I use Bank of America.
no billing or address info ever gets overloocked. they catch even the slightest inconsistency and will not process any order what so ever. I know that for a fact, they've canceled many an order on me due to my own mistakes.

I checked the shipping info on my shipping slip via their site and my shipping info is 100% accurate.

So this guy is not only a scumbag who thinks he has the right to cancel your order if you don't like his 10 days for 9 dollars shipping method, he will also come into forums and lie blatantly. I will NEVER do business with him again. Pissed me off so much they sided with this piece of garbage liar. I could not believe they unlocked a closed topic to let him lie in it, then they closed it again, allowing me no opportunity to state the TRUTH.

Yes I can be a prick, but does that mean a business owner should act like a child?
Does that condone those kind of actions?
I am part owner of 2 businesses and I would never on my life even think about doing what he did to me to a customer. I have had things said to me by clients that would make your eyes pop out of the back of your head and I stayed professional, kept a smile on my face.
All he had to do was say "sorry about the delay" and I would of rolled on, instead he acted like a spoiled child.
Never again and everyone I know will be sure to find out about this.

By your own admittance, you were being a little over the top about the shipping (2 days to ship something is not at all unreasonable by the way......), and people do business differently. You may smile at all of your clients, but when you own a business and you are your own boss, some people may not subscribe to the same philosophy. They will blacklist you instead.

I have ordered from Sidewinder a couple of times, and they shipped within 1 or 2 days (never even paid attention), and didn't have a problem. Actually, I got a Banchetto 101 from them and I thought it was defective (the power buttons didn't work, but it was because the wires became loose, I fixed it months later). They offered an exchange without a hassle.

Anyway, I think you were over-reacting and they may have also over-reacted. Move on from $33 bucks, we're only human.

You do know when you pay for FEdex 2 day shipping, Priority 2-3 days... it doesn't mean it actually gets to you in 2 days right? They will say "Usually ships within 24 hours" or something. Then you count the days from there.....

The fact that it took them 2 days to ship is NOTHING unusual at all... sure, most of the day they will ship it the next day, but they would have a reason for the slight delay.

From there, whatever shipping option you picked is out of their control in terms of shipping speed. I've had Priority Mail packages take over a week. Fedex 2-day take a lot longer due to weather or whatever.

Lol of course I understand that. Theres a lot of hidden nonsense here you need to dig through. For one the order was placed on Monday so Tuesday is a reasonable date to have it shipped by. He says it shipped on Wednesday but then he cancels the order?
What did he do run to ups or catch up to the truck carrying the mail?
It wasn't shipped, it was still at the facility or location of export.
When you get a second to maybe step back and look at the entire picture instead of simply try to criticize me, you can see several blatant lies in his statements.
Don't forget the "your shipping info was wrong" lie.

It's all good, I'm not going to die over it, besides I got such a better cooler because of it lol. Total copper and gorgeous, covers the entire 5850 like a bronze sword.

But paid for Monday, shipped Thursday, received by like next Wednesday. is what it would of been. 10 days total, For $9.00 US shipping.
I'm sticking with newegg and the like.

Seems to me you're making mountains out of mole hills. If you needed it that quickly, why didn't you just go to a brick & mortar store to get it?

It's also worth noting that they're in Indiana while you're in Florida. $9 is pretty standard for that kind of distance.

$9.00 doesn't equal top level shipping priority anywhere.
When it is marked as shipped it has been processed and sent to the shipping department, that doesn't mean that it is in a truck on its way to you. Newegg does the exact same thing.

You are going to have a very frustrated life my friend.

Am I missing something or does this seem completely standard? 1-2 business days for processing is very normal and then receiving it the next Monday is well within 3-4 business days.

It is. Generally 1-3 business days for processing and handling, then whatever courier method was used. Ordering something on Monday, shipping on Wednesday, then arriving the next Monday would be 5 business days. That's kinda fast.

NewEgg, on the other hand, can have packages sent to me within 1-2 days. But that's just because they're freakishly fast.

If you live on the East Coast.. yes. Their warehouse is in NJ and other East coast locations I believe.

So if I order in the morning on Monday, they'll ship it in the afternoon and I get it next day or the Tuesday.

And if anyone cared, Newegg's Rush Processing is 10000000% useless. It's a great way to get $3 free from customers who do not know... they will always process your order on the same day and most of the time within hours.
