All he has to do is run the VIA 4in1 Setup again and then choose uninstall and uninstall the AGP part of it and then install the AMD AGP driver.

I got similar results as well with my new Geforce3 (2062 in 3dMark2001). Here's my setup:

Asus CUSL2-C
PIII 933@1050
256 Megs of Crucial PC133
VisionTek Geforce 3

The thing thats wierd is that a long time ago, when i had my Geforce 2 Ultra and Win ME, i was getting around 3300 on 3d Mark2001. Now I'm using Win2k. My 3dmark scores did go up 400 points ( I was getting a horrid score of 1600 with the Geforce 2 Ultra). Also I'm using the 12.10 drivers and I'm using the tweaked 1008.1 BIOS fer my mobo (The tweaked bios lets you run your agp @ 4X when overclocking on the ASUS board). Is Win2k causing such low scores? My Quake 3 scores are pretty decent. i get around 80 fps using 4XAA @ 1024*768 (Does that sound right?). Any inputs would be appreciated.

You should be in the 5000+ range at the default benchmark.

All I can suggest is you go to this site and read, try the latest BIOS &amp; Intel chipset drivers (you did load them?) Here is 2 links.

Hey Ph33zy, I don't think win2k is your problem. I have win2k and 98 on my duron 800 system with a geforce3, and I get about 4100 in 3dmark2001. I get around 4300 in win98(that's SE).

you're right..for some reason when i installed the chipset drivers in windows..it wouldnt work correctly....i went into safe mode and installed the chipset driver..and now...i get 5500! thanks guys..btw..in, anti aliasing options, what's the difference between 4X and Qunicuxx? Is 4X better image quality?
