Sign #2 stolen: Personal news: Some PR|CK stole my Kerry/Edwards sign...left wire frame

Edit: 2 signs up in my yard now...and 3 for coworkers. Replace 1 with 5....in 3 different yards.


Yes, I'm pissed. I drove 10 miles to get that sign and placed it deep in the ground to keep it there. Bastards stole the plastic sign off of the wire frame. IT DID NOT BLOW off as it was there this morning.

I'm going to hang a sheet on my fence with staples......Kerry/Edwards - 04.

This is to the pricks who stole my sign.

attach a note to the sign saying:

"this sign will be replaced if stolen, and another donation will be made to my political party"

Hey Engineer - surely you have some POS PLC direct crap lying around to rig up a system like I'm thinking about. Ofcourse mine will work better as it'll be A-B

Couple prox switches, a few relays, a timing relay or two, and a couple lights ought to do the trick. Maybe a panel alarm too. I'll have to see what we have lying around down in the shop.

They are free...but they would like donation. I'm giving them one the next time I get out there!!!

I've been on a destructive bend lately... a few weeks ago, while walking home (at 3 am on a weeknight), I noticed that someone a few streets away from me had a confederate flag hanging in front of their house. I felt it was my duty to take it down and cut it in half.

I thought of that, but the liability is too great. It'd be great fun though.

I'm probably going to go with the plywood sign too though. That'd be alot harder to remove and my camera would probably be able to catch it on tape since it'd take longer.(the camera take like 5 seconds to start recording)

I work in a machine/tool shop.

I'm going to do something similar to what a co-worker did....

Someone was driving by at night and crushing his mother's mailbox. After 3 mailboxes, he took a 4" x 6" piece of steel, 3/8" thick. Took a 3 x 3 piece for the stand. Welded a door on it and concreted it in the ground. A broken ball bat was found 3 days later next to the box.

Steel frame with Plexiglass might do the trick (Lexan to keep it from getting broke). Barbs on the end of the legs to make them incredibly difficult to remove. A small notice on the side of the frame indicating that this property is now being monitored (and captured) via a webcam from several window locations.

Anyone who steals a sign...regardless of party......sucks!!!

Called the Ky. Democratic office....guy said that this was the worst election in 20 years for that sort of thing. Said that people are calling all day long with the same complaint (I'm sure the Republican office would have the same report).

I hadn't planned on a donation because I give Kerry my support in showing the sign, but don't agree with all of his policies. I will donate this time...and he told me to take 3 signs when I arrive (along with bumper stickers as well).

There's a house around here where you go around a corner, and right on their fence is a HUGE bush/cheney probably 8x4' sign. I thought, heh, that will be gone by tomorrow. Next day, yep, gone! Then the next day, it was back! Then gone again...havent seen it since

I live in a college town, and theres quite a few cars with either Kerry or Bush stickers, and Im surprised that I havent seen any tampering with those.

In High School we happend to get a hold of around 5,000+ Allan Key bumper stickers. I think you could imagine what we did with those.
