You seen them did you?

Yes I did. As a matter fact out the 100-150 homes I passed, I seen about 30-40 Kerry/Edwards signs. I did not see one and mean not one Bush sign.
Your post just reminded me of every post tornado newscast I have ever seen from a small town around here. They usually go something like this...

"Well me and my wife wuz sittin out on the porch having a soady when all the sudden the wind come up. I says sugar babe we best get inside it looks like a twister is a coming. Thats when we seen it over the tops of the trees. It were a big ol twister and we jus had to run fer the celler. When we come out after the wind had stopped whopping around our trailer was knocked catty whompus and had fallen plum over. The weird thing is that my soady pop was still sitting on the porch railing. Hadn't even been touched."

*sung to the tune of The Monkees theme

Here we come
Trolling thru the threads
We post the funniest things
We?re fvcked up in the head

Hey, hey we're the liberals,
and people say we sling mud around.
But we're too busy trolling,
to put our crack pipes down.

We troll wherever we want to,
Say anything we want about you.
We don't ever get banned,
Cause we know a mod or two.

Hey, hey we're the liberals,
and people say we sling mud around.
But we're too busy trolling,
to put our crack pipes down.

We aren?t really assholes,
Some of us just act that way.
We're the left generation,
And we got nothing to say.

Hey, hey we're the liberals,
Our arguments are unsound
So you'd better get ready,
We?ll make your head spin around.

Hey, hey we're the liberals,
and people say we sling mud around.
But we're too busy trolling,
to put our crack pipes down.

That is a gut-buster - your work?
And thanks, btw.
I do what I can.....

Ok you stink at sarcasm. Its clear your either stupid, dumb, or not too bright. So why don't skip trying to be smart and just say it plain. You'll do better that way.

You know, that is VERY illegal. You should sit outside in a car wwioth a cell phone. When it happens, follow them and call the police (9/11). Tehre will be MANY people willing to file tresspassing charges. Let them sit in jail.

Anyhow, those signs are annoying and pointless and an eyesore. They should be illegal.

There is a sign war going on in my neighborhood, in Orlando. I decided to stay out of it. I see people looking at me suspiciously when I take my usual walk in the night, like I was going to mess with their sign.

Passed through a neighborhood today on the way to work. Someone had put up a big wooden sign with hand-painted words reading:

"Someone stole my Kerry/Edwards sign"

I heard on the radio that this guy was getting his Bush signs stolen from his yard, so he taped needles or maybe razor blades to the sides (outside edges) of the sign. That same night at 2am someone tried to pullup and steal the sign, and then screamed when their hands were cut

The problem with doing something like that is that you can be sued or even charged yourself (in certain cases) for it.

Believe me...I would love to hook the ole cattle fence box to the sign and shock the living daylights (not kill) the people doing it...but I won't because of the fear of being sued or charged.

But I did booby trap the thing!

Engineer I agree with the liability issue but I still think that the thief ( a 50's year old woman) deserved her injuries.

That being said if you did that and it ended up in court, and I were a juror, I would never find you responsible

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but a friend of mine who is a county sheriff mentioned that the road space between the edge of the road and usually the first telephone poll is reserved for highway department use. They've had trucks going around collecting all sorts of signs because folks have been placing them too close to the road. Mailboxes apparently get an exemption as they are for government use.

I'm not sure if this just a local thing in my state, or what, but it could just be that some of you are placing your signs too close to the road. And, I'm sure without a doubt people are lifting some of your signs, as well.

You are correct. In Lex. KY, it's the space between the sidewalk and the highway (about 3 feet in my case). It's my land. but they have the right-of-way. That's exactly why I placed my signs on the other side of the sidewalk squarely in my yard!

Still waiting to hear the alarm go off! :Q

At least some good news comes out of this (although it matters little because KY is so heavily in Bush's corner) is that my wife has finally decided to cast her vote. She was so furious over our 2nd sign being stolen, she said that she was going to vote (Kerry of course).

May not help Kerry much, but it may be just enough to help kick Bunning out of the Senate!

1st sign stolen - I donated to DNC

2nd sign stolen - Wife decides to vote

Buwhahahaha!

The state tends to own a certen distance from the center of the road. It can extend pass any telephone poles or sidewalk
