I was just at my local Best Buy and went to the check out to pay for my purchase. I was paying with a credit card and requested that the cashier print out a copy of the receipt so that I could sign it. I did this so as to avoid having to sign the tablet that was placed on the counter for that purpose. (I'm not keen on having my signature in a digital file. I have requested this option in the past at the same store and was always accomodated.) The clerk said that he could not do this and upon my request called the store manager so that he could explain the process to me. The short of the story was that they would not allow me to complete the purchase even though I produced a photo id (state drivers license). Has any one ever had such an experience? Am I being paranoid in not wanting to provide the store an opportunity to capture my signature?
Thanks
