Well I'm taking the Chicago PD test on the 11th and have veteran's preference + military police experience. I'm not expecting to get hired, but its definitely possible.

In the mean time I'm taking classes online still. 20% done with my 2 year BS program.

No way, definitely on the cheap end for this area. I could go west to Lakeview and find something for $600-650 but this place is actually really nice.

All I need is a bed, couch, tv, and desk which this place has plenty of room for. In the summer there is a patio on the roof which I can use. Other than that only my girlfriend will be over. I think I've only had 2 guests over at my previous 3 apartments that I wasn't sleeping with.

It could be a little iffy but all the condos and houses on my street are ridiculously nice. Mine looks like ass from the outside but is pretty nice inside.

Yup, I've lived next to tracks before, never bothered me. Actually helps me sleep having noise around. My apartment in the burbs right now is insanely quiet -- sometimes I run the dryer just to have a little noise.
