Silent 120mm case fans?

Looking for silent but powerful 120mm case fans. I have some Slipstreams now in my NZXT Vulcan and man they are loud. Looking to quieten it up without sacrificing too much CFM

What RPM are the Slipstreams running at, and what model are they? You won't find anything significantly better than Slipstreams at low RPM, so if you have fan control on your motherboard, try that first.

High airflow, high static pressure, low noise, low cost in the same fan = impossible.

That said, some fans are better compromises than others.

If you can afford them, Scythe AP-14 Gentle Typhoons are very quiet for their airflow; or AP-15 (1850rpm) if you can tolerate mildly higher noise. If you are okay with lower static pressure then Cougars are good... get the Vortex or Turbine if you don't need horizontal mounting. Also good are Cooler Master Sickleflows (good airflow, reasonable noise). Last but not least, a great balance between decent airflow and noise (and cost, and static pressure) is the Arctic F12 PWM at 57 cfm and reasonably quiet operation.

There is no such thing as a silent 120mm fan. That said they can be nearly imperceptible if you run them at low rpms. I like the Antec tricool fans as they have a 3 speed switch (lo, med, high) that can be used in by itself or in conjunction with MB or other fan controllers to get just the airflow you need (and no more) to keep your temps undercontrol.

So I feel dumb. It isnt the Slipstreams. It is the stock NZXT fans in the top. I thought they were hooked up to fan controller but they are not. And man are they loud.

Just get a few Yate loon slow speed fans and call it a day. 4.99 each and they constantly beat the "gamer" or hyped up fans. What you really need is a fan controller.
