Happy Easter guys. I have a gtx 560 TI with a loud fan. Is there an aftermarket cooler option? I'd like to make it silent if possible since I only really play p99 everquest which is not graphic intensive in the least. Any recommendations are much appreciated. Thx so much.

You can find exact replacement fans for any video card on Ebay or Amazon. usually under $10. I wouldn't bother with an after market cooler on a 12 year old card.

Without knowing what card you have...

VGA aftermarket cooling outside custom liquid cooling is not very popular.
There are aftermarket sinks, but they are very pricey.
They probably cost more then your GPU you intend to cool.

560Ti is a very old videocard.
i would not bother investing anything into it, but instead look at getting a replacement.

Wow, no kidding, yes I agree, get a newer card.

Don’t you do anything at all with your computer, to be able to afford/justify a new video card?

I used my GTX 1060 almost 5 years before upgrading, and I thought I was slow enough, but a 560, holy crap.

Get a new card!

This. Or at least move up to a 650 ti (burst?)

If this person is a newbie, they might take this comment seriously.

650 was released in 2012, not a good choice for an upgrade.

EVGA has a lot of older, still fairly recent GPUs for sale;

1650, 1660, 2060, etc...

Of course, best, and budget, will depend on only someone’s needs.

My recommendation was specific to OP. My belief was that he wanted a pre-DX12 (hardware-wise) card, to play an old DX9/10 game with. As you know, driver-level emulation isn't perfect with the newest cards.

Also, if he's still running a 560ti, he doesn't have a big budget, so a $50 used 650ti versus a $180-200 GTX 1660-family card kind of makes sense too.

Yes. Exactly. I don't mind the card.

I can afford but I can't justify.

thats a pretty good decision, considering the air heatsink alone would cost you about that much.

I would have bought a fan for it. Fan, not heatsink. Even if you later decide to upgrade, it's always nice to have backup hardware.

I think he wanted the crown for the niche he is in.
A few years later a 650 maybe next to impossible to source, so him getting one for the cost of an aftermarket heatsink is in my book an excellent buy.

He also has the spare for hardware diagnostic if something dies.

"crown of the niche". Love that. Made me feel good about my purchase! Thx.
