I had more fun in Simcity 5 then BF3 ever!

Yes I had an awesome time. That is, if you enjoy not being able to enter a "server" to play a single player game, I spent more time sitting and waiting than I did playing the actual game.

Of course really the best most fun part is that 99% of the gameplay is working around EA's population and traffic bugs. I mean that is a blast.

Actual game-related gameplay is not what gamers wants, it's working around EA induced bugs and problems in the game.

I will have to start a new region and see how things go. I usually play to a point where the game breaking mechanics frustrate me and I give up.

I have over 343 hours in Simcity 5.

The game is fine now after Update 7.

You have claimed that the game was fine since release date. Including days where every single server was 100% offline, not only according to the loading screen but also EA and the EA forums.

Yet during these total outages you were on here saying all is fine and your mega city was churning along nicely.

To say I doubt your opinion on the 'game being fine' would be putting it very lightly.

I looked at the recent patch for 5 minutes and determined none of the problems I had are fixed. Its still broken, my corrupt cities are still unloadable and its all still a mess at the multiplayer level. So no it is not fixed, its as broken as it was 2 weeks after release (when we could login but the mechanics were broken)

Yeah, well, I'm not going to point any fingers but there have already been a couple of former "EA Marketing Employees" who have admitted working as part of a 500+ person department dedicated solely to posting shill opinions on online forums to try and hide major issues with EA games.

I suggest taking some of the outrageous opinions you may read with a grain of salt.

Why can't we just leave this discussion thread as one for those that still own/play the game? Can't those that rehash issues from launch just use the other dead thread and leave this one for the rest of us?

We get it, you suffered from issues at and after the game launched, you complained incessantly, and then cancelled your credit card charge and closed your origin account. How many times do we need to hear about it?

So you think that only someone who bought the game can participate in a thread?

For one, I am still interested in the game. I loved the previous sim citys, and if this one were fixed I would purchase it again.

No, I think he's saying we should focus on the game in its current state.

It's great they added bridges/underpasses, will help deal with the traffic issues (which are NOT insurmountable even without them, requires a lot more planning though). However, there are still no large cities, and while I think the game is quite a bit of fun and love the idea of Glassbox, the game still lacks depth and features too little space to create a "real" city.

So, I re installed origin to repurchase the game... And it's still in my library and works. I guess amex wasn't able to take their money back from EA.
