I want to get into sim racing....anyone that can tell me what the popular games are and how I should go about getting started?

GTR2 is one of the best sim's i've ever played, real cars, real sound, real damage, force feedback, real physics. If you have the money, buy a G25 steering wheel.
I have the Act Labs Force RS wheel/shifter. I think they quit making wheels. How does this one compare?

Maybe it's just me, racing games without real licensed cars is a turn-off. GTR2 is really good, but it's nice to have a rally game also. They are totally 2 different beast. I wanted to try Richard Burns Rally but it's really hard to find at any local store.

Does anyone have the G25? I have the momo wheel; I think the wheel itself is ok, but the pedals are flakey (cheap plastic parts). It's also the only wheel I've used so I don't have anything to compare it too

Here's a video of the G25 in action. I have the first MOMO Logitech wheel (the red one) but the functional clutch pedal and the shifter on the G25 has me sold. I don't think it compares to a FrexGP setup but I don't mind since it's also much cheaper. I heard the wheel is much better than previous logitech wheels but unless you're dying to play with a clutch and shifter I probably wouldn't bother.

Also, there is a game that's supposed to be coming out right about now, strictly online, and it looks sweet. don't remember the name.

I hear the red Momo like you have is a better wheel than the newer one. The Frex looks impressive (expensive) I have an issue where I'll downshift too fast using the paddle shifters - like, I try to go from 4th to 3rd, but I grab 2nd instead and I'll spin out as a result - maybe the H shifter would help with that, but I simply lack some basic driving skills
