Alright I have an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego @ 2.2ghz stock along with an Asus A8V Deluxe mobo. I overclocked my processor to 2.61ghz and it runs stable at 31c idle, and 41c load. I was talking to someone about overclocking and they told me that I needed to change my HTT mulitplier so that since I raised my mhz to overclock my HTT doesnt exceed 1000 and I did nothing of the sort when overclocking. My cpu mulitplier is 11 and to overclock to my processor to what I have it at I changed the mhz to 237. I went in my bios and looked through trying to find a "htt multiplier", if there is such a thing, and had no luck. I was wondering if this setting my be called something else and if so where it can be found in Asus bios?

It could be called Hypertransport frequency, Hypertransport multiplier, LDT multiplier, or any combination of these. If you are running at 240HTT and dont experience any problems then you probably have it set to Auto, which will work well enough.

Where in my bios would be this setting because I cant seem to find ldt multiplier, or hypertransport mulitplier frequency anywhere in my bios? I can find my Hypertransport frequency which is set to 1000 and there are like 4 other settings with are 800 600 400 and 200.

That is the Multiplier just hidden naming. 1000 is x5 800 is x4 600 is x3 400 is x2 and 200 is x1.

You need to change the multiplier because your Hypertransport is running out of spec (which could cause problems eventually). Like Topweasel said, 1000 means that you are using the 5x multiplier, not that your ACTUAL frequency is 1000 (I know, stupid bios makes no sense). Your current HTT is your multiplier times your HTT (so 5x237 = 1185MHz). I'd drop the hypertransport setting to 800, which would, in turn, set the multiplier to 4x.
