I got the Panasonic and it is really good. It is a small unit just a little larger than a cell phone from five years back. They have a new unit that is supposed to be cell phone size as well. I got teh Panasonic radio from Ecost (tip from here) with a car mount and both were about $60.00. I got two of the car rigs since Ecost had them for $9.99. The price for the car rig could have been a mistake as they are something like $47.00 now. I use the one radio between two cars and ordered a home mount for another $42.00. The radio comes with a remote control and the programming includes a lot more than music and talk shows. I get almost everything there that I used SW for before. I love it! Sirius has several ways to scale the deal. I ordered 4 years and got the service for $126.00 per year. That brings it to XM price levels. you can get a lifetime deal for $399.00, I think. The hitch there is that it says "life of the radio". The way I read that, if the radio breaks, I am done. Sirius is already free on Dishnet, I think. I was visiting relatives in Omaha and found Sirius channels on their sat TV and they said it came with. Some of the negative stuff on this thread sounds like the stuff I was hearing in the early days of DOS (CPM would never go away - who here knows what CPM is these days?), the early days of Cable TV and those Laser Printers will just never work out. History is he_l when you have lived most of it.
The only issue I have with satellite radio is I can't see it becoming as mobile as a walkman. I would love to be able to take TalkRight with me everywhere I go!
