Any idea if it will work with a Starmate 2? I don't see it on their compatibility list, but I thought it would be worth a shot asking.

no it doesn't.
i own one, picked it up at best buy on clearance for $25 right before xmas. now that i think of it i should have bought all of them at the time but oh well

Ordered it online at Circuit City, and chose in-store pickup. When I got there and handed the guy my receipt he said he was going to refund me $8 because it was actually cheaper in store. YMMV, but you might want to check or call your local store.

Brought it home, set it up, and it sounds and looks great on my kitchen table. Thanks OP!
