Yeah, it's much better to pay a 1.50 fee for getting money out of an ATM than it is to buy something for less than that and still be able to get money back. Where'd you pick up your economics degree from, 7-11?

ok here is the deal. First off, your guy friend should be smart enough to know that when he's with a girl, he should at least have some cash on him, at least $5 even! This means he should have stopped by the bank/atm earlier before seeing you. Second, it's time to get another bank if yours don't have an ATM. Third, you should have just hit cancel yourself if you knew the 7-11 clerk had no idea what you are talking about.
But its all been done, take this as a valuable lesson. Don't you think it makes sense to at least carry pocket change?

first, you should be smart enough to realize that just because my avatar is a chick, doesn't mean i'm a chick. second, i'm not going to change banks because i'm very happy with my bank. just because one guy totally screwed up, does not mean i should go and change bank to avoid a situation that should not have happened in the first place. third, we did not have a chance to hit cancel. that cashier reached over and press all the buttons for us real quick without our consent. and yes carrying pocket change is a good thing. and when that pocket change runs out? you need to go get cash right?

we did not get the chance to. we were asking him what is this charge on here. instead of him answering, he reached over and press the sequence of buttons for us. we did not even have a chance to tell him to stop.

it's not just over $5 man. you should have seen the way this guy acted. we were trying to be nice to him and ask why there was a $5 lotto charge. he did not even try to admit he made a mistake. we were standing there trying to reason to him and he was helping the next customer acting as if we did not existed. i mean we did not even give him an attitude!
