Checks and balances were built into this form of government by people who must have thought them a good idea. One voice might be good when dealing with an adversary but one voice isn't good in determining policy. The world is complex. We have a president who oversimplifies this complex world. Having advisers surrounding him who all point in the same direction likely will lead us in that direction, right or wrong, without thorough exploration of all the consequences.

Today we have more than enough glaring examples of where myopia leads.

Perhaps it is you who thinks he's oversimplifying things? Care to give at least one excellent example? BTW, don't mistake his folksy tone for foreign policy.

And, yes, most African-Americans have this fixation on some type of reparations because of slavery. That, and the myriad excuses for their continuing poverty, although some are very legit. Fact is, responsibility and accountability are the basis for getting out of the dirt, not hand-outs.

You need to lose that ante-bellum attitude immediately. I find your statements very offensive.

Most "African-Americans" are fixated on reparations??? How many African-Americans have you polled? How many African-Americans do you know? How many have you told they are fixated on reparations face-to-face?

I haven't once in my life heard anyone I know mention reparations. Suggesting such is nothing more than perpetuating racial stereotypes that are so deeply entrenched in the indoctrinated, that would include you, that you give no thought to expressing them publicly in the most insidious, offensive, embarassing fashion.

And the embarassment is in watching you unconsciously, publicly reveal your own stereotypical behavior.

"Their continuing poverty," "some are very legit"!

You couch your problem in those terms very well. Thank you for conferring legitimacy on some. Makes all those illegitimate ones in the dirt than much easier to hate, right? Down there in the dirt, irresponsible, no-accounts waiting for that hand-out.

I suppose you don't consider yourself a racist, do you? I'll even bet some of your best friends are black. (Hell, you're a Republican, maybe you're black. The Bush administration would just LOVE you!)

Why don't you run that by your African-American friends one of these days? Unless they're Bush cabinet choice types I'm certain you'll get an interesting reaction.

If you want to know where the real hand-outs are coming from and going to check out the federal government's tax redistribution program.

PS Welfare was reformed years ago. But for some reason you still have that welfare mentality. Here is some good advice. Lose it.

Democratic Leader Bashes Black Justice.

For the life of me I cant understand how the minorities can still believe the democrats and liberals are really for them.

You have had nothign but attacks on two black high level ranking officials in our govt since the end of the election by the liberal media and now democratic leaders.

But 4 years from now when Hillary runs you will see her in Baptist churches the last two weeks of the election.

Justice Thomas does not represent the black community even though he is black. Just like Eminem doesn't represent the white community as a whole either. So he is criticizing the man as a judge, not because he is a black judge.
