I have an older very cramped flex-atx shuttle box with a heatpipe type hsf setup. I recently replaced the 2.53Ghz P4 with a 3.06Ghz/512k/533fsb HT P4 cpu, and noticed that at idle the bios shows mid-to-upper 40C temps and under load (one core thread gets up to around 80-90% and the other to around 40%) in mbm5 it gets up to at least 56C and as high as 62C. Is this too hot for a single core HT P4 of this nature? I want to use it for a htpc but I don't want to burn out this chip while watching .mkv files on my LCD. An old review I had found mentioned the 3.06Gh cpu would probably be too much for the hsf that came with his box, but I don't know how hot you can safely let a P4 get. Thanks for any input you can give on this matter...
