Skype with computer turned off?

What hardware products connect directly to the router for skype use, so that the computer can be turned off while still using skype? Any good options?

There are several options - Belkin has a box, and some smartphones such as iPhone can do it.

A lot of nokia smart phones (most in the $150 to $300 range used, and maybe $200 to $500 new), maybe all, have skype. I'd think the ones with front facing webcams could do video chat. I know at least the nokia internet tablets can (n900, and apparently n810/n800).

Uh, I don't know any embedded device with camera. To be honest, if you really need a camera, i think it would be better if you get a smartphone with front-facing camera, like iPhone 4.. I bet Skype will program in the video conference capability pretty soon.

The Nokia Internet tablets have front and rear facing cams. (probably only the front works for webcam usage) They can't be the only ones though. They can also plug stuff in using usb if you have the right adapters, though I wouldn't count on that working with a webcam.

I purchased one this weekend and am looking forward to it. My biggest fear in getting one...its been out for a while and a new version inevitably will follow once I receive mine.

I think there may be an interface that works with the new Samsung HDTV's. I think I have seen some advertisements for it.

I think you can make skype work on a blackberry. Some phones can work through a wireless router.
