Skyward Sword CE. Tempting for those who want the game but don't have wiimotion+ now.

Comes with a Golden wiimote (wiimotion plus built in) and music CD. I'm definitely going to be getting Skyward sword no question about that. And I currently don't have wiimotion plus which is required to play the game so it's not unlikely I will get this.

You know what though I wish they had a plain old white edition with a simple little Zelda logo on it. Don't care for the whole GOLD thing.

Ok, for certain the Wii has been gathering dust when I had no idea that the new full console Zelda game is one month away. If there was any doubt on taking holiday vacation, that is gone now!

<-- 36, loves LoZ since the original on NES, was so excited about the Wii I spent nearly half of Signals and Systems class searching for a console for sale in 2006. Never had PS1, PS2. Got a PS3 last summer and have spent many, many hours on Lego HP and Pirates of the Carribean, GT5, and Oblivion.

back on topic: the original LoZ came in a shiny gold cartridge.

I bought into it. I don't have a wiimote with the plus and figured it was a way I can get it along with it being in at least a special edition color.

I wonder if they'll have a collectors edition of the Wii U when they come out with a Zelda game on their next console.

That would be cool. They ARE using the Zelda tech demo heavily to show off what the Wii U can do graphically, so it would only make sense to push the game/system combo as well when it get's closer to release date.

Is it worth waiting to play the new Zelda on Wii U? Did they design the game for Wii and port and upscale it to the new system or vice versa? I'm really looking forward to this game but am considering waiting till the new system is released so I can play Link in HD glory.

They will be entirely different games. Skyward Sword was never intended to be released on the Wii U. In fact the only thing we know about Zelda for the Wii U is that they used an impressive Zelda themed tech demo to show off the capabilities of the Wii U. There have even been hints from Eiji Aonuma that the final Zelda Wii U game may look nothing like this:

All this to say nothing of the fact that we have no idea when such a game would be released, it's quote possible it will not be a launch title.

So if you like Zelda definitely get Skyward Sword as the next Zelda game on the Wii U is all just speculation at this point.
