My neighbor's Dell Dimension became virus infected, etc. to the point where internet access was not possible.
I slaved the drive to another p/c and ran AV to clean - also ran SpyBot S&D and disk defragmenter. When I re-installed back into the cpu - it no longer recognized the drive. I suspect that I shouldn't have defraged it when it was slaved as it displayed no system files during the process....but that's just my guess.
Cannot break out of the F1, F2 prompt. It simply no longer sees the drive. There are many files on the drive that need to be recovered.....of course would rather have it seen as primary again. Need help.
