one of my favorite bands, definately one of the best metal bands that ever existed. very talented group of guys. didnt really like undisputed attitude, was nothing but cover songs (i did like "i hate you" or something like that).

UA was ok, not Slayer songs except Gemini obviously, but still pretty cool. Diabolus in Musica didn't do much for me, since then I haven't had as much interest in them. Still listen to the old stuff a lot.

I've been a Slayer fan since around 1984 or so. Saw them in concert at a club Lamour in Brooklyn, NYC back in 1984 or 1985 (can't remember). They were young and angry...so was I. Most violent moshpit I've ever been in. I got my butt kicked. I did a little butt kicking myself. I'm older now and don't do the moshpit thing very often anymore...but I laugh when I see bands like Slipknot and Godsmack (awesome band, Godsmack is!) in concert and I hear the youngins" bragging about the pit and how it was "so awesome" and "frickin' violent" *Chuckles to self* I was doing that 16 years ago when it first started, in NYC!

Anybody heard of bands like DRI or Agnostic Front? Yeah, those were the days.

DRI - Dirty Rotten Imbeceles I loved these guys when I was in high school, I havent really listened to them much since then though.

If you were in HS when you listened to them, then U and I are approximately the same age...I was in HS as well. Graduated in 1986. Oucheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....we are old!

Not to make you feel bad but I didnt say they came out when I was in high school I said I listened to them,
I graduated in 94 but I was quite the little punker and was also in to alot of stuff like the Misfits, DRI, Pantara, ect.........

I still feel old!

Slayer rules alot harder than Metallica, I still crank them at the gym. DRI also rules what about Nuclear Assault, Dark Angel, anyone listen to King Diamond now that's one disturbed guy.

Exodus, Death, Black Flagg just to name a few others.
