I actually have this case and it really is a great deal for ~ $40 shipped. My case came with a 400 Watt Leadman PS and the thing is actually very cool looking and easy to mod.

how do you figure 10 bays? I only see 6. Cool case tho. I'm looking for one to throw my dell into (the dell case is horrible). I also want to mod it out and do some extreme cooling

Is the metal on the case thin? Or is it higher quality? How are the rounded edges. I know it says:
NOTE: Our tests with AMD based boards are inconclusive. The case manufacturer
- states that this case/power supply will work fine for AMD Duron, Athlon and
- Athlon XP systems. We have run it in house with these boards with no
- apparent problem - however the power supply does not meet AMD's recommended
- air-flow design
Any idea if it would run a 1.4 tbird alright? TIA

Hi,

They've had it for a while ... the part that concerned me was:

I bought this a couple of weeks ago for my son's system. I've got an Iwill 266 motherboard with an unlocked AMD athalon 1ghz overclocked to 1.2? ghz (don't remember exactly). Also has a geforce 2gts video card. Been running fine since I built it.
Case is decent construction, pretty thin aluminum but it's finished off ok. First day I had it I accidently bent the bottom rail where the case slides fits in, but it was easy to bend it back. Just be careful with it. Definately not Antec quality.
It's a little short on power leads from the power supply. I've got 3 case fans, 1 CDRom, floppy and I've used the power leads. You could always get some Y power spliter.
Overall a good value if that's your price range, not sure I could have found a 300+ watt power supply for that price, < 40 shipped. Not sure this is for those into heavy modding.

Just ordered two. They knock off about $3 from your second if you buy two. Reseller rating of 7.5, and I called them up just to get a feel for the company. Sounds like they want their stuff to be quailty for the price. Plus, you know they didn't HAVE to mention the little AMD discrepancy. I think it'll be fine for ordinary use. Looked up the PS. Seems to be average, or at least the company does. I agree, it's not going to be an Antec, but then again, I got two with shipping for about $68, which is what a single Performance SX-835 cost me in the recent really good deal from Staples.

So, good company, fair case, fair PS, great price, low shipping.

Now to find people to build systems for . . .

Oooh, pretty shiny. The "air flow" design stuff is due to the lack of fan / vents on the lower side of the power supply, therefore less hot air is exhausted from the CPU by the power supply. However, note the mountings for TWO rear exhaust fans. Get some panaflo L1 action going on and you'll be fine.

Even better, mod the PSU to accept a fan. Hmmm. Where did I put that 80mm Tornado? Vooom!!!

These are fine cases for the money...period. It isn't a "quality" case but it works fine for the right systems. Not a good choice for your main system, but fine for other systems.

I was very disappointed with mine. Just got it monday and it arrived with a huge dent on the top, so the side won't fit on right. I beleve the case was damaged before it was shipped because the back tabs on the side panel were actually bent inward where they forced the screws in to try to get the panel to snug up to the front of the case. The metal is very thin and susceptible to damage in shipping. Very mediocre packaging as well. All in all, very disappointing. For all I know it was somebody else's RMA that they just shipped to me without even checking it. Keep in mind, compgeeks doesn't do refunds, and with the high cost of shipping, returning the case is hardly worth it for store credit. I ordered an Antec KS282 from staples for $50.94 after coupon with free shipping and Antec 300W power supply installed. No more cheap cases for me. Much better to try to find a decent deal on a decent one. YMMV

I bought two of these, I really like compergeeks. Good prices and fair shipping, I have been buying from them for a long time, sure they are a bit slow shipping nowadays. Anythign I had trouble with they took back with no hassel. The cases are not bad for what you pay for.

Looks like a decent case for the money. I like how it has 2 fan holes in the back. The case also appears to be wider than many "El Cheao" variants. Still, I question how good of a deal this is compared to PC Inifnity's cases. Personal preference I guess.

Computergeeks is where I purchase "budget" cases (8), floppy drives, zip drives, USB hubs, small network hubs and internal modems. Often they have limited quantities of other items I buy that are bargains - such as cabling, motherboards etc. Slow shipping and customer service, but eventually you get your shipment and answer. Godd store for the items I mentioned at good prices.

I have purchase three of these cases and have Ecs motherboards and Duron 1.2 in two of the case and an XP 1500 in the other. They are constantly on and working without a problem from the P/S. Good looking and inexpensive. The best budget case that I have found so far.
