I've had a total of three to date, probably will be having another within the next year.

I'm thinking of getting one at some point. My father will be getting one soon as he almost certainly suffers from sleep apnea or worse (he frequently wakes up choking several times a night!). I don't have the choking issue but I've been awoken in strange ways before and with my fathers history of heart and sleeping issues it would probably be a good idea for me to take a sleep test.

No problems for me. I had 2 studies and have been using a Bi-Pap machine for over 5 years. I no longer snore and sleep better than ever.
The only problem is that occational leaks around the mask tend to wake me up. Then it's time to get a new mask and nasal pillows. They say I should replace them quarterly but I take care of them (wash with white vinegar and water) every week and they last about a year. I also use distelled water in the hydro tray.

anyone who can sleep with what looks like the electrical system of a german car strapped to them probably doesn't need a sleep study, thus making them worthless.

i had one of those worthless goddamned tests, didn't sleep a wink, and they said i slept normally throughout the entire night. i told them to get fucked. science fail ftl.
