So can I sli a GTX KO and a regular GTX. If I flash the GTX to the KO Bios will it be ok. I got the chance to pick up a regular GTX and add it too my KO.

Do it? Don't do it?

Then the KO would be clocked down to the regular GTX speed, it would be better to flash the regular with a KO BIOS, but I guess not every GTX do can do KO speed.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere the clocks of the first card are applied to the second card depending which physical slot you have them in. Nvidia probably just figured out how run both cards with the first one's bios.

I don't think so because that way it could cause problems if the lower clocked card cannot make the higher speed. It always find the lowest clock of both card and run both at that clock.

I honestly don't think GTX KO and regular GTX in SLI mode would make a big differences since you should be very CPU limited either way. In addition, I am assuming you are not comparing a stock GTX (430MHz) with a KO since most of the GTX available on the market are all overclocked from factory (460MHz maybe vs. 490MHz KO)

According to the INQ, they SLied a XFX 6800GS with a reference GS in SLi. When putting the 6800GS on the first PCI express slot, the second card OCed itself to the same clocks to the XFX. But when putting the reference 6800GS on the first slot, the XFX down clocked itself.

It could be a bug but NV claims that when running SLi you can have different clocks for the cards. Only the core has to be the same. So it will work.

HEHE, Yeah I shouldn't have used the word "Vanilla". Oops. I was referring to a regular EVGA GTX, which like someone stated comes overclocked.

Yeah I just wandering if there was going to be a performance hit for not going with two KO's, or if I should just pony up the cash and go with another KO.

You guys helped mw though. THANKS.

I'm going to get the "Regular" hehe GTX and sli it with my KO and just try to OC the one as close to the KO as possible.

Thanks again.

I think NG sells a eVGA GTX ACS3 NON-KO with higher than normal speed and a KO HSF for $10 more than the regular.
