I'm going to get or make new PC soon and I need your advise if computer with 2 cards in SLI or Crossfire mode can improve performance of PC in other programs then games ( 3D Studio, Autocad, Inventor and similar)

I am imagining around 300fps in doom 3 with 16xAA 16xAF at WGUXGA+ resolutions
