they happened to have a couple dozen of each, and still had 11 or so Q6600 still showing in the display case for $199

First off, OP, you should change the topic of this thread to something like "Q9300/9450 in Stock at MC" so we don't have a million peeps creating new threads with the same info !

Notes:
1.) MC is showing a 3yr. warranty on these OEM CPUs. That is HIGHLY unusual, most places give you 30-90 days. Obviously this must be backed up by MC/IPSG themselves, which is a good thing ---> they'll be around IF/WHEN you might have a warranty claim.
2.) The free OCZ memory kit with the Q9300 is IN STORE ONLY. The good price on the CPU is available on-line though, so I linked that.
3.) I didn't link the XFX card 'cause it's also an IN STORE ONLY promo; their site reflects only the $30 rebate off their regular (high) price.

Didn't try putting both in your cart, did you? If you had, you'd have noticed that the cpu price drops by $49.99 when added to the cart with the memory. While the memory is still charged for at $49.99, the cpu's price drops to $250.....


Next time, actually try adding the items to a cart and SEE what happens....MC routinely has their IN-STORE sale prices matched by their online prices.....but it configures differently to give essentially the same end price.

As for the XFX video card.....did you even LOOK at the card's price? It comes up as $219.99 on their site for me......which is the in-store "sale" price before the $30 rebate, which brings it down to the listed $189.99 price in the ad.
