slightly better deal for Dell/MSN deal through small business...

Hi everyone,

If you go to Dell's page through this you'll have the ability to take 200 off the Inspiron Models.

For those who'd care more for a discount and don't need/care for a scanner, free internet access for a year (most of us are online now anyway), and a slightly different MS Office Suite, it's pretty good.

I believe that Dell/MSN deal is for home or home office only so you can not combine this small business offer with Dell/MSN deal.

yep that's what the rules state anyway. Who knows if what section you order from really matters, but with 20% at stake I wouldn't take the chance personally.

Perhaps I'm not reading it correctly, but the rules located here don't specify home/home office, or do they ?

In fact, the word 'home' isn't even found on this page

Or is the wording of consumers mean home ?

Any thoughts?

condition no. 5 at the MSN site states that "Consumer Subject to Terms of Use at Merchant Site". SO, as the Dell site says its only for Home users, I guess we are out of luck here.

Having bought two systems from Dell small business when their web pricing was screwed up a month ago, I can say that having them charge me $110 EACH for shipping and handling was a shock. I just completed a 29 day negotiation for them to charge me a reasonable amount. Their customer service sucks, both phone and email. Verify s&amp;h charges before you order or be prepared to haggle a lot after the fact.
