Staples has the Pixie 17" monitor on sale for $149.98 item # 382113, there is a $50 rebate good until 12/16/00. add paperclips item # ACC72380, use $40 off $150 coupon, over $50 so free shipping, mail in rebate of $50, it should end up $59.98 in the end.
But the "warm" part is Pixie's are not the best monitors around, so if you are desperate, this may be something to chance ?!?

Thanks for posting the deal. I know that there's been negative comments made about the Pixie monitors, but for $60 you can't complain about a 17" monitor. I had a Pixie before and it was decent.

Staples had a 17" Pixie before, but it was the model 750, this deal is now for the 770. The 770 has better high end resolution. It will do 1024x768 Non-Interlaced at 85Hz and that should be fine for most user needs. It maxes out at 1280x1024 Non-Interlaced but with 60Hz Refresh (probably will be annoying at that resolution).

A big plus about Pixie is they have a three year warranty. Most other monitors come with only a 1 year (including my 19" Compaq monitor that cost a boat load more than this monitor).

Worth it for $60!!

$60 only if you get the rebate. With all these negative comments made on Pixie monitors, this deal is luke warm at best.

Might make a good second monitor. I use a 14" we bought with our 486. It's blurry, but it works, and for 60 dollars, a 17" might be nice.

this monitor is pos, i bought it couple month ago at staples for 140-80 rebate=60 got the rebate
i'm using this on the server, so i don't use it much. If you are looking forward on using the this monitor alot, i suggest don't buy it, cuz this monitor will heard your eyes. is working great at 1048*XXX resolution. but any higher it sux. refresh rate at 60mhz. don't won't, is a great deal if you need a monitor for a test system, server, seomthing tha tu wont' use often

Actually, this is not the same monitor you got. As I posted earlier, this is the 770, not the 750. The 770 has a better refresh rate for the higher resolution.

I've purchased 3 of these for work from Fry's for 157.00 with a 50.00 reabte and all are working perfectly. The 50.00 rebates came after 8 weeks, so that's not too bad for turnaround time. Agreed, it's not the best around, but for 110.00 + tax - 50.00 rebate = 69.00 it's great for my second computer. I still like my 19" Viewsonic, but it was over 400.00. Thanks for the post I appreciate it.
By the way, the Pixies have a three year warranty as opposed to some of the other generic ones that have either a 90 day (Gem brand) or maybe a one year warranty.

Just to let everyone know the monitor is indeed a 770 series. Does anyone know what the difference is between a 770 and a 770c? Because one of the rebates is for the 770c exclusively. And as for the staples rebates, I would recommend anyone who is ordering this item to print out the rebate now, even if you aren't suer if you're going to order the item, because Staples has a tendency to yank the rebates off their site after a while without any type of warning (it has happened to me on 3 occasions). Ordered it on Monday, and they said it should arrive by Friday. Oh, and if you have a staples in your area, then you get charged tax. Mine came out to be $70-something dollars after rebates/coupon/tax.

You will get your rebate for the person who asked. Staples.com has the best rebate center of any online shop I have ever used. You send them your rebate information and they track it for you. Love it!

By the way, if it matters, the 19" Pixie is great. No complaints at all, crisp and sharp color.

Staples guy came to deliver mine today, only he said that when he looked, it wasn't on the truck. What the heck is that! Showed it was loaded on the invoice he tried to palm off on us, but wasn't there when he came to deliver it. I called Staples, refused to sign anything, and they're "looking" into it. Unusual way to do business.
