Most of my DVDs are in the slims, but I recently went back to normal sized jewel cases after living with the crappy 'claws' of slims. The case is too flexible for my liking so most of my more expensive software (windows, collector's editions) are back in full sized cases.
Got of of all jewels, slim and fat, long ago. They are lousy for mailing. Instead, I use these little clamshell guys - cheap, strong and very protective. Excellent for mailing.
Agreed ... slim cases are lousy for Mailing, for Labeling & as stated, the EARS tend
to break off Very Easily ... either a normal 1 cd jewel case or if you want to be fancy
spring for the ones that the factory uses ... Staples & others have them and most
programs such as Avery can provide the correct label stock & work with them to
make nice looking labels
