It's a hole in the wall in a little town called Allegany, NY.

I love good pizza regardless of type (fyi, from Colorado) but prefer good deep dish. Thank god I'll be moving close to Chicago soon to get some real stuff about as often as I want it

DiFara's has consistently been #1 in zagat for a while, and is BY FAR the best pizza i've had in the USA. many pizza places in NYC are AMAZING and i used to have a tough time ranking them in order, but DiFara's is so far beyond them all...

around Manhattan is relative, its in Brooklyn near Bensonhurst towards Coney Island

Charlies used to have good pizza, when they were copying Renna's style. But, their pizza just sucks anymore. The crust is no good. (Of course, Fox's can barely be called "pizza") I think the best pizza, by far, is a hand-tossed pizza from Tasta that's cooked in the oven without a pan. Unfortunately for you, they don't sell them that way It's incredible how different it tastes made from the exact same incredients, just by how the dough is handled. Maybe I'll get bored one of these weekends and offer to work someone's shift there, just so I can make a "homemade" pizza.

Oh, and OP, I see you're from Washington. Here's something that two areas of the country know: You can't get good pizza outside the Chicago area or outside NY. Granted, the two groups of people constantly bicker over whose pizza is best. But, the pizza from the other 48 states sucks in comparison.
