pac sun has some inexpensive jeans. Their slims are REALLY slim. I feel like I'm wearing compression shorts around my thighs when I put them on. My wife liked the look, but I found them to be super uncomfortable.

I typically buy my jeans at Express these days. ~$40/pair when I get them on sale.

I'm 6'1 190lbs 34 waist...not exactly tiny.

I hate to say it but paying a little more does go a long way to how jeans fit.

Levi/Wrangler/Costco CK/etc are all basically mom-jeans....which are fine for outdoor work or just being comfortable....but not for a social or work environment.

I've been steadily changing my wardrobe over to higher-quality clothes; it hasn't been too kind to my wallet, but I'm noticing that there's a definite increase in quality with more-expensive clothes (to an extent). My most expensive pants so far were ~$85 from Express and they fit reasonably well, but I'd be willing to even higher for some quality jeans with good fi.

This. Also, the higher quality clothes just fit better.

I'm a BR, Polo, Jos. A Bank/Neiman's whore now.

Don't go into Nordstrom......it will make you want very expensive jeans! (No, not Diesels )

I bought my last batch at Macy's, which is obviously below Nordstrom, but I found that a $120-$160 pair there looked almost identical or better than some of the $300-$399 at the "nicer" store.

I think buying nicer jeans made me actually take care of them better than the standard denim....so at least part of that premium is balanced by them lasting longer due to me not wanting to fade/shrink/stain them.

I tried on the Levi 505 straight/regular feet that fit at the waist & they seem to be the closest to 511, for those who don't want to sag.

Levi 501 and 505 are basically the same minus button-fly. Those two styles are also usually done 'shrink to fit'.

LoL at "OC"Guy saying Levi's are mom jeans and grouping them with Costco and Wranglers.

Levi's are pretty much a staple of many down here even if they own designer denim as well.

Nobody cares what crappy clothes you wear or the nice ones you pretend to wear.

FYI inexpensive jeans serve a purpose, just not in my office or going out for the night.

I think the OP needs to take Laundry 101 if his jeans shrink 2 inches after he washes and dries them. Even when I had no clue what I was doing, I never saw something like jean material shrink like that.

I like Levis, but the measurements are not an exact science. I wear 30/32, and two of the same size jeans can be different lengths. Whenever I go try some on, I usually bring 3-4 pairs of the same size to try on, and this usually gets me good fitting jeans.

It's tough to find fitting jeans. I actually have been liking Lucky jeans. Levi's are always too loose.

Also, OP is a hipster skinny jean 'tard.
