The discussion is as follows on a new build; having an nF2 mobo, SATA HDD and SATA ODD (no FDD) would a slipstreamed OS with the SATA drive CD, boot the PC?
I say no, since the SATA optical drive would not be a recognized device. IMO, an IDE ODD is required regardless if the SATA drivers are slipstreamed or loaded via F6 + floppy. So the question is am I right or am I wrong on the assumption of the IDE optical drive?
