Not a big fan of the Cayman. Porsches interiors are undoubtedly subpar to boot.

Funny you say that.. clarkson and the guys on Top Gear would have a hard time agreeing... They like the MB roadsters, but they also can't deny that a good old Porsche interior kicks ass. I love the inside of a 911.... looks sweet (but less lux and more sporty)

The new interiors on 911's are admittedly a huge improvement. But from past experience I have found that Mercedes knows better than anyone else how to design an interior. Even when Mercedes delivers performance they do not compromise luxury.

That is quite true... my good friends' father has a CLK-55 AMG... it has a pretty cool interior! (nice guages)

When someone actually decides to purchase a high performance car they usually care about more than just numbers There's no need for that much power. 0-60 in 4.9 will be just fine thank you!

Your number of asses-per-minute (apm for the uninitiated) will increase drastically once you get that car, regardless of which side of the plate you swing. Also I wonder how a freshman in college can afford a $110k car (which in Canada means that you have to make at least double that to clear that $110k), but that's mostly because as a freshman my income was ~$10k/year and I am jealous of your car. With that said, I would personally prefer an M5 to an SLK55 AMG since they are about the same price .

To each his own. There are 7 SLK 55's in the Greater Vancouver Area and every time I have seen one there has been a male driving it. The old SLK was admittedly feminine, but I disagree that the new one is.

I took a year off from school when I graduated and I made a decent amount of money then. Most of the money did come from my parents, however. Am I ashamed of that? Not at all! I helped out when we had tough times a few years back by doing some jobson the side.

The new one is definitely better, but it's still not a something you really pull up at a club to get ass... especially for that amount of money, you could've done much better.

Are you sure that car isn't your mom's weekend drive that you get to use on the weekdays?

You're talking about highschool right? Unless you're really good at something particular, I can't imagine you could've made any amount that would really change the ballance owed on the car. Job market for high school grads suck... I was making 7.50/hr IIRC.

Go see an SLK 55 in person, sit in it, feel it... you'll know what I mean.

Then again, I'm not here to prove anythingto you. I wasn't coerced in any way to choose an SLK over an M6. I preferred it over the rest. Other peoples opinionson itare a secondary concern to me (although, if you took a look at what knowledgeable reviewers said abouit it you maychange your opinion.)

I ran a business whereI hired people to farm items in Everquest and sold them off at a marked up price. Made well over $50,000 in less than two years while in school. Trust me, that is a decent chunk of changein termsof thiscar. I wasn't referring to a minimum wage job. I just tend to shy away from divulging that sort of stuff.

because it's an ugly bmw?

Because the M5 isn't a retractable hardtop convertible. There's just something about driving around with the top down vs. driving around with the windows down.

The M5 is so money; you can dislike the look and there's nothing wrong with that. To me it's an understated, powerful car; a driver's car when you want it to be, and a passenger car when you need it to be... And it has an "M" button

Not to mention, Sedans and Roadsters appeal to completely different people. Well, the Roadster may apply to a Sedan person during their mid-life crisis, but other than that they are different target customers!

Gag, you actually "like" the new "M" button? The e60 M5 is garbage. I couldn't afford one, nor would I want to. Fugly interior and exterior and have fun with that "M" button in rush hour.

dude, if you are getting that car for real then more power to you regardless.

Pics are demanded unless you are yankin our chain.

Exactly. I'd love to have been able to get a car like that WAY back when I was in college. More power to you.

Yeah, it's good to see another guy get a car with class and style no matter what the means. Its more of a "you know how to chose a car and hats off to you"

Now, given Qosis (i can't help but think quality of service and IS-IS when I see your username) is a freshman in college take my and Apex's word to heart.

Be careful with her. she's a beast and you better be careful with her and take your time to get to know her.
