I have a program that uses sql 2008 databases. I recently replaced a server that had sql 2000 with the same program just an older server. Now with this new server the workstations that connect to the database with this program are seeing severly increased lag times from switching screens to entering new data and retrieving previously stored data.
The server has 6 sas drives 4 in raid 10 for the OS and apps and 2 in raid 1 for the databases. It is connected with a quadport server adapter. All the links from there server to the workstations are gigabit links.
The old server did not have this program. The current server running the program locally does not have this problem so I can narrow it down to the network connections I believe. I don't know what else I can try. Any help is greatly appreciated.
