Maybe they had a stock issue. I've always been very surprised by how fast RockAuto gets me parts, and I always use the cheapest option.

My past experience has been positive as well, thats why this suprises me. I guess it doesnt matter anyways! haha, i cant drive my car due to a broken strut seal.

Give rockauto a call to see if they customer service will return your "fast" shipping cost.

Make sure you didn't gloss over a non-stock warning. I just noticed it the other day. Some items carry this disclaimer: "Non-stock item--shipping delayed up to 5 business days." They basically have to get it shipped to themselves, then onto you.

Otherwise, I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Helps that I'm in Chicago, and anything that ships from their WI location gets to me in a day.

I've always been happy with Rock Auto shipping.
I placed my very first order one afternoon, paid for normal shipping and had the item waiting on my doorstep when I arrived home from work the next day.
Not every order has come that quickly, but all have been in a timely manner.

Never had a problem with RockAuto shipping either. Sometimes they do tell you that shipping will be delayed, though.

I guess this is just an "Expected Shipping Date''

So it could very well be sent earlier ... eh?

what did you order?

most likely you ordered many items and one wasn't in stock.

When ordering from rock, you could play around if you dont exactly care for who makes the part your getting. Many times i played with parts so they all coming from one warehouse.

I never do by the "rush" shipping. But normally get mines pretty quick. I ordered timing belt parts friday at 2PM, it come in saturday at noon. Rather then expected tuesday. Of course I was going to do the job on wensday no matter what but it was a shocker. Help that they are like in WI and i'm one state under.

one item. Blower Resistor. I thought the rush option was so cheap that I might as well do it.

what's the P/N?

rockauto is generally pretty damned awesome. i choose the slowest shipping and usually get stuff in 1-2 days unless is has to ship from a west coast warehouse. your item is probably out of stock or some kind of glitch occurred with your order. call them; i bet they'll fix it.

shows in stock for me. call them up. if they can't ship it, you can probably get them to send #20170 which is a few bucks more but also shows as regular stock.

I love Rock Auto. I placed an order last night for ~400.00, I am rebuilding the front end of the GN.

For shits and giggles, I put the same items in a cart on Advance Auto parts' website - total $534.30. Rock Auto does indeed kick ass. And that was with subbing 2-3 with "generic" manufacturers parts when the didn't have the Moog part. Sheesh. At least they gave free shipping.

A few of the parts were almost DOUBLE the price. Like these:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__20516570-P_2068_R|GRP60005_1886626115___
$61.99 at Advance, $39.79 at the Rock. Those are the only "performance" parts I got, all of the control arm bushings..

Not to mention how aggravating their site is. Enough with the mouse-over menus!

Don't forget the 5% coupon codes that are out there. Paying attention to the shipping location helps - this is a big, heavy or for only $20.00 in shipping.

yeah i got a pair of complete (springs already loaded) struts from them. in addition to being cheaper than anyone else (cheap bare struts + bearings from autozone wouldve been the same price), they shipped those plus two other boxes of parts for about 25. no tax, and had a coupon, as usual.

fwiw advance and autozone parts are usually TRW or moog, even if it's not mentioned in the catalog.

unless they've finally started getting their front end parts from sketchy chinese manufacturers, too. suspension stuff is usually one of the few things i will buy from the above stores, since i can typically get name brand (TRW or moog for stuff with bushings and joints, monroe, kyb or some such for shocks).

edit- are those a arm bushings a set? for 80 bucks id have to figure. you may be able to get aftermarket urethane for that much, if you're interested. only pro for most parts is durability, but stiffer a-arm bushings tend to help those cars a lot in the handing department.

did you factor in the 40% coupon codes advanceautoparts have? dealio gives 40 off 100 right now, i'd break your order down to 100 each and get 40% off for a much better deal.

not saying rockauto isn't good, they rock, but i sometimes buy from advance just cuz they are cheaper after coupon.

But $40 off for a single $215 strut is still $175 for a strut that is $155 everywhere else without a coupon code

Plus those types of steep codes are normally one per customer not per order. It probably won't accept it for the same email, billing or shipping address, etc.

its per order. I do it all the time $55 pad,$40 rotor. $5 worth of weird random stuff. 2nd order for $40 rotor and $10 diff oil.

coupons are $40 off 100 and $20 off 50.

I make two orders, pick everything up on time save $60 off $150. yes they mark them up but most items if u need them that day its a good deal.

advance has been taking a lot of my orders that normally get taken by rockauto + 5% coupon or amazon + free prime shipping.

Though my only is that Adv Auto won't discount oil. They used to do so and I snagged a bunch of oil for cheap, but they haven't done so in a while.

BJs is the place for oil IMHO. I will occasionally get a coupon for $9 off a case of 6 Quarts, so I pay around $28 (or something like that) for 6 quarts of synthetic oil.
