Slow website with Vista

I have a desktop system running Vista, my wife has a laptop running Vista, and she also has a desktop with XP. All systems are using the same router and DSL modem and most surfing seems normal. When I go to Newegg and look up a hard drive it takes about 30 seconds to get to the page I want on either my system or her desktop - but, when I go to Midwayusa and go to their .22 LR ammunition, it takes about 20 seconds on her desktop (XP) and about 1 min. 40 seconds on my desktop (Vista)??? Her laptop (Vista) takes a similar long time.

I called Midway to see if they were aware of a Vista problem and they said no! Any ideas? Some sort of security setting???

Send me the exact url and I'll take a look, if they are using addons such as flash or java it could be that the plugin is having an issue and may need removed and reloaded or simply updated

I know but you mention your pc only hangs when going to a certain section of the website, please give me the full url to that section of the site.

Sorry about the confusion. Every page at Midway is slow - it takes about 5 times as long to bring up their homepage and every other page thereafter compared to the XP system.

Hmm, looks like they are using pretty standard HTML with a little bit of javascript. Does it seem like the time is spent slowly bringing up each element on the page, or does the screen sit for a bit and then come up all at once?

Each page builds at a very slow rate. For instance, their home page will put up the border with their name and some info, then catagory tabs (Ammo, Optics, etc.) then maybe some product manufacturers and so on. I can sort of shortcut this a bit by not letting the page complete and picking a catagory as soon as the tab comes up. When I get to the page I want, it will put up descriptions of the items, but takes a while to fill in the pictures of each item. It seems to not tell me what it is doing (developing bar at the bottom of the page not always present) and will sometimes tell me it is waiting on the site with a blank window, but eventually will pop up the next screen (or partial screen).

I installed Vista on my computer about the first of this year, but my wifes' laptop came with it pre-installed and they both have the same problem. A while back (and I don't know if it was only before I installed Vista) this problem did not exist on my computer!
