Small Android Phone that doesn't feel cheap

Hi guys,

I've currently got an HTC Incredible 2 that is starting to annoy me by randomly shutting down for no apparent reason. I'm thinking of getting a new phone, but I want to get something that's similar in size (think iphone). Is there anything that size that has decent specs, doesn't feel cheap, and is running the latest version of Android? I'm not under a contract so I am free to move to any carrier if that is an issue.

When I was looking, I liked the HTC One M8 and the Sony Xperia Z2, but they both seem too big for my taste. Most of my phone use is basic surfing, email, calendar, and occasional games or online banking apps. I'm probably the opposite of a power user in the phone dept. I'm not too worried about the camera and the screen size, but it would be nice to have a nice display and a snappy processor.

Any suggestions?

I like the Moto X for it's feel and relatively compact size. Feels good in my hands and is pretty snappy. Its specs don't blow anything out of the water, but it's a great phone

motorola droid razr M looks good; almost as compact as the iphone. Samsung S4 mini is very similar to it specs wise.

HTC One Mini has a lot of advantages. It's a bit tall but should be easy to hold in one hand thanks to its horizontal compactness.

If you're comfortable with ordering and using a Chinese phone, look into the Jiayu G5. These probably don't have working 3G modems in the USA though and they never come with 4G. Outside of the americas their 3G works fine.

Z1 compact is the only real true high-end phone in a less than 130x65mm form factor that I know of. It's relatively thick, heavy and has large bezels though, despite even that it doesn't have capacitive buttons. It's all not terrible or anything but worse than the 4.3 inch screen suggests.

Most people are concerned with the height and width of the device, from my experience weight and thickness hasn't been a huge issue in years, we are out of the realm where the devices are too thick to easily fit in pockets, sure it will be thicker than other phones of that size, but it's a fully featured flagship phone in a 4.3" frame, a bit of extra bulk is expected and likely welcome by the people in that market anyway as getting the thinnest smallest device usually isn't a huge concern anymore.

Actually larger than the X.

The X is definitely the best of the smaller phones, though it's not quite as small as the S4 mini and whatnot. However, you might also consider that the M8 and Z2 and just monstrously large, and that last year's devices -- most notably the S4 and the Nexus 5 -- are much less bulky at a similar screen size.

Hi guys,

I went from a HTC Incredible S (the non-US version of the Inc 2) to a Moto X. It's still one-hand friendly and weighs a tiny bit less.
