I am trying to build the smallest no-compromises computer possible. Currently I'm using an Apevia Qpack2 and it's just not small enough for my needs-- I travel between the US and South Korea frequently and I have nice setups on both ends to plug the thing into.
Here's the hardware that I want to stuff into this teeny case:
*1 Really large HDD (500-1TB) with room for a 2nd
*A quad core processor (I'd take recommendations on AMD/Intel,too-- I am unsure)
*6GB of DDR2 RAM at 800MHZ - I've got it already and I want to use it
*a nice speedy DVD burner
*A Soundblaster Audigy2 - I own this
*a Geforce 8400 (I own this and I totally regret it....)
*all in a MicroAtx motherboard. I've got an Asus P2mv, running a dual-core right now. If I could upgrade to an AMD quad, I would skip a motherboard upgrade
Anyway, the real question is -- What's the smallest case I can stuff all of this stuff into. Here are the dimensions of my current case: 9" x 11.2" x 14.7" (H x W x D)
This case clocks in at 11 pounds or about 5 kilos. The lighter, the better, as well.
Thanks for any help!
